The Haven

Looks forward to seeing you

Unload your car at the door, and use the parking permit to either of the 2 car parks at the top of the village.

The Haven is in King Street, Robin Hood's Bay, accessible by car to the front door. A VERY short walk to the beach at the bottom of the street as well as the amenities of the village

See the Haven grassed area to rear of cottage and seating from the air

Follow the video link which shows a 30 second clip of The Haven grassed area and seating, situated above the sea wall. Our cottage covers 3 floors that is partly built into the original cliff, now protected from the North Sea by a 25 metre wall that was built in 1974.The grassed area was originally a cottage that fell into the sea pre-1960s. In The Haven, on the wall behind the lounge settee, is a coloured photograph from 1895 of that cottage. The rear of The Haven was originally "Queen Street". On the ground floor of our cottage is a combined lounge area (with smart TV Freeview/FreeSat) with a Morso coal stove (coal provided) and a kitchen with electric cooker, hob, fridge and microwave. On the first floor is a double bedroom and an area for hanging your coats, drying your boots, letting your dog rest after a long walk. There is a rear door for access (6 small steps up) to the grassed area and seating overlooking the Bay. On the top floor is a twin-bedded room (with smart TV), and a shower room/toilet.Wi-fi throughout the cottage. Bed linen and towels provided.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in The Haven. Please "clean up" the grassed area after your 4 legged friend

Relax in the Garden area

Enjoy the area with a newspaper, your favourite book, your breakfast, a BBQ, a pint from the Dolphin pub. Whatever it is just relax and watch the World go by. The garden is available to 3 other (second home) cottages. However the table and bench is for use by The Haven tenants. 2 easy chairs, for use outdoors, stored under the double bed

180 degree View

Whatever the weather there is a an open aspect view from the rear/grassed area of our cottage.Views to the North Point and to the South, the heights of Ravenscar

The Haven cottage and garden sits above the Sea wall

The Haven is the cottage to the left of Georgian House (the white building with the tall chimney). 25 metres above the sea. On Spring tides with Northerly winds it's possible for the waves to splash over the top of the wall. On lower tides and calmer days the scene is much different

Enjoy the views from the seating area at the rear of The Haven
